Starting off our rogues gallery are Rakysana Bibi Muneer, Mohammed Ayoub Alam and Mahboob Hussain of Leeds.
Despite being property owners with tens of thousands in the bank the members of this family claimed over 75,000.00 in various benefits. Despite the large amount of money involved it apears this is the only the second largest case in Leeds this year.
Muneer claimed Housing Benefit forn her home which was owned by her ex husband.
Alam claimed Housing Benefit since 1995 for a property he owned. Following this he claimed benefit at two other addresses, unfortunately he forgot to mention to the Council that he owned two other properties.
Mr Hussain is the pick of the bunch. He bought properties, transfered them into his mothers name then filled out Housing Benefit application forms on her behalf.
Well done Leeds Council for a succesfull prosecution. We'll keep you updated of the sentence they recive.
